We help children who have been commercially sexually exploited.
Children who are sexually exploited for commercial purposes are victims of a severe form of human trafficking, and these children are in need of services. The Georgia Care Connection Office (GCCO) identifies commercially sexually exploited children (CSEC) and links them to services. GCCO is a statewide initiative of the Governor’s Office for Children and Families.
A single point of contact.
GCCO is the single point of contact and provides independent care coordination for anyone who seeks help for a commercially sexually exploited child. GCCO can also offer information and technical assistance. GCCO leads the dialogue among a multi-disciplinary team of agencies and providers to develop one comprehensive care plan that ensures each child’s commercial sexual exploitation is addressed.
Follow up and accountability.
Following the plan, GCCO identifies and assists families in receiving appropriate services. GCCO staff monitors the child’s rehabilitation and case-related expenditures. GCCO uses a System of Care Philosophy with a family-driven, youth-guided approach to help children set a new direction for their lives.
